What's New

2008 is Connevans 47th year and 12th year of having a mail order catalogue.

There have been many changes in technology during the years that Connevans has been around. In November 1961, when M H Evans founded Connevans, transistors were only beginning to take over from valves, the Beatles were yet to be heard and Macmillan was Prime Minister.

Now in 2008 the Connevans catalogue provides the benchmark standard for quality of product information for deaf people. Plus we now have two websites with our own server - this website as our information website and www.DeafEquipment.co.uk as our internet shopping website.

We also produce a CD which includes all the information from this website plus a number of Powerpoint presentations for professionals, if you are a CD user and would like to check 'whats new' on the lastest version click online www.connevans.com/cd. The Connevans CD is free to customers, simply request one with your next order.

A quick quide to some of the new products on our e-commerce website www.DeafEquipment.co.uk

A new range of vibrating watches, VibraLite8, five models with 8 alarm settings. They are a good design with slightly better vibration than the VibraLite 2 or 3. The watches will suit anyone who is comfortable wearing a chunkier 'sports' style watch but would not be the right choice for someone who really wants a delicate feminine watch!

Connevans 40IFSCE Audio Frequency Induction Loop field strength meter a calibrated precision measurement device designed to meet the requirements of BS7594. An essential product for routine testing of inductive loop systems (AFILS) to meet DDA requirements.

fmGenie accessories and MLxS tester a really good product which makes life easier and saves time.

Analogue vibrating watches which are easy to use and have good vibration.

A range of telephones for everyday use these phones have no specific amplification benefits and are not hearing aid compatible. We just liked them - they even include a retro rotary dial model!

Bluetooth conection for hearing aid users to listen to mobile telephones.

Connevans offer two options for recording TV programmes with subtitles we in particular recommend purchasing the Humax Freeview dual channel hard disc recorder

Tinnitus relief products

Corded telephones

Phonak EduLink which is being used to complement existing therapies in children with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or specific Learning Disabilities (LD).

Travelling alarm clock in the view of the Connevans evaluation panel the Sonic Shaker portable alarm clock is really good and much better than the competition!
