Trantec radio microphones - technical FAQ
Changing the Channel on a TRANTEC S4.5 Radio microphone receiver unit.
With the receiver unit switched on press the two white buttons (‘Select’/’RF’ and ‘triangle symbol’/‘AF ’ on the front panel) at the same time together.
This will change the LED display panel to show the first item of a menu of six items which is (happily) "1. Change Channel".
Press the left-hand button (button ‘Select’) to select this option.
The LED display will show the frequency/channel that is set now. Use the right-hand button (‘triangle symbol’) to scroll through the list of channels available on this receiver until you get to the one that you want, then use the left-hand button (again) to select the channel displayed.
The unit will automatically change the internal circuits to effect the selection and then return the LED display to show the chosen channel.

With the microphone switched ‘ON’ slide open the battery compartment.
You will still be able to see the LCD screen that displays the frequency/Channel currently selected and to the left of the LCD screen you will see two small push buttons and a multi-way Data-entry socket.
Using the push-button furthest from the LCD Screen (the ‘lower button’ if you were holding the microphone in an upright position) press & hold the button until the LCD screen displays the new frequency/channel, to match the receiver, then release the button.
Finally close the battery compartment - do not forget to check that an aerial is fitted.

By opening the cover you will reveal a small push button (just about level with the LCD screen on the front of the unit). Press & hold the button until the LCD screen displays the new frequency/channel, to match the receiver, then release the button.
Finally close the battery compartment - do not forget to check that an aerial is fitted.
