Daewoo SV900
We were in contact back in January. We purchased an SV900 for my mother-in-law. She has had good service from it to date.
However, she has noted that she is unable to use the remote to gain access to channels (even after replacing the batteries). The front panel allows her to fast forward and rewind the video (hence, no issue with the plug to the unit). She is unable to access any digital channels.
We are 250 miles away from her and hence difficult to ascertain the real issue or just pop in. Have you any ideas? Sorry to request this of you.
If you are unable to comment, please could you let us have the customer service number for Daewoo if they are the best people to contact. We have contacted you as the supplier in this first instance, and you were extremely helpful in helping define the correct choice of system for mum.
It sounds like the SV900 needs to be reset. This is done by unplugging the unit from the wall so that there is no power to it, waiting about 1 minute and then plugging it back in again. The unit will then go through a reboot and should then function normally again. By disconnecting the power you will not loose the channels.
