Technical FAQ's for Geemarc DECT150/300 telephone
My DECT150 is not working properly, any suggestions?
Like all products which have a 'computer' in them the Geemarc DECT phones can sometimes get confused so can we suggest trying a 'factory reset' - details below.
Check battery level indicator - new DECT150/300 telephones must be charged for 24 hours before use.
1) Remove one battery from the handset and wait 30 seconds.
2) Press and hold the * (star) key and refit the battery whilst still pressing the * key.
3) You should hear a beep and the full icon display will be shown on the LCD.
4) Release the * key.
5) Now press * # 7 3 3 7 * #
The telephone is now returned to factory settings.
Lastly replace the handset on the base unit and the lightening streak should stop flashing. Your telephone handset will now be registered to the base station and ready for use.
I have just received a Geemarc DECT150 and it does not work?
We have a couple of suggestions:
1) New DECT150/300 telephones must be charged for 24 hours before use.
2) Did you use your existing line cord? Yes I did, I did not see one supplied with the telephone. Ah, the solution to your problem. The line cord in DECT150/300 is packed in the bottom of the box under some fold over packaging. Just because your old line cord fits does mean it will work, although the connectors are physically the same there are different wiring standards!
