Hearing aid direct input - FAQ

I have 2 Phonak Claro/Perseo Hearing aids, will MLxS units work with them and which shoe fits a Claro/Perseo?

The answer is the same for both hearing aids and is no but yes!

Neither the Phonak Claro or Perseo can have a direct input shoe available and neither can be used with a standard MLxS fm receiver, however you can get an ML8S which is special version MLxS for Claro or Perseo hearing aids. An ML8S becomes part of the hearing aid and are available in matching colours to the hearing aid body.

To fit an ML8S the existing battery drawer is removed and replaced by the ML8S unit which is a combined fm receiver and battery drawer - the left picture below shows a Claro hearing aid and the right picture shows a Claro with an ML8S unit fitted.
