A am interested in buying a Humax PVR8000T80 Personal Video Recorder 47PVR8000. I know it can pause live TV the same as SKY+ but I would like to know if the Humax PVR can record two different programmes at the same time?

You are quite correct that you can pause live TV with the Humax PVR8000/T80 - and you can live rewind and rewatch parts of programmes that you did not find easy to understand. If you fast forward during the adverts or less interesting parts you can then make up the 'lost' time before the next programme starts.

The Humax PVR - PVR8000T80 - is a single receiver unit so can only work on one channel at a time - but you could always have a second set top box receiver in the system if you wanted to. The cost is similar and for some people it would give a more flexible solution as you could have the Humax F2-FOXT in a different room to the PVR.
