Personal inductive listening neckloop - FAQ's
How does a personal inductive listening neckloop work?
A personal inductive neck loop is 'loop of wire' worn around the neck, with the hearing aids turned to the 'T' pickup setting the hearing aid user can then hear the 'T' pickup sound without the general room background noise.
You have probably seen or used a TV loop amplifier or a loop in your local hall or church, with these loops the loop wire is run around the whole room whereas a personal inductive neck loop has a wire just around your collar or neck.
The Connevans personal inductive neck loops can be used as an alternative to conventional headphones. The Connevans personal inductive listening products have a 3.5mm plug and will work anywhere that personal stereo headphones or earphones are used.
A room loop requires an amplifier to feed the 'power' or 'energy' into the loop however being quite small a neck loop does not require a separate amplifier and can be driven from a normal headphone socket.

What is the difference between the Connevans fabric neck loop and the Connevans Multiturn plastic neck loop?
Both neck loops offer excellent sound quality but the plastic loop looks better and many people feel it is more comfortable to wear. Personal inductive mono neck loops can be worn under clothes without loss of performance and work equally well when used with mono or stereo equipment. Either are a good choice.

How does a neck loop cope with stereo sound?
No problem. The sound from a neck loop is mono, with the same 'T' sound input to both hearing aids. However Connevans wire the plug so that the two stereo channels are safely combined into a combined mono sound to include both left and right channels.
Is it possible to have stereo sound with hearing 'T' pickup?
Yes.
Both the Music-Link stereo inductive silhouette earhooks and Silent headphones give stereo sound capability.
