My name Is Tina Lonsdale, and I work for our local council. I have just received a genie and I am finding it very helpful with my Job.
The genie was purchased so I could be able to use the telephones in a busy noisy office.
I have found the genie very helpful, both with the phones and also when I need it to hear in a meeting and also when I have to go on courses.
I have also found out that the after service and problem finding is next to none and the friendly voice on the end of the phone is also very reassuring.
I did find it a little daunting when I first receive it, but once I had set it up and started to use it I found that it was the best thing I had received to date, as it has given me a little more independence to do the tasks my job requires.
The attachments I have fix to my hearing aids and are run directly by my hearing aids. I have a bum bag, which I carry around with me all day.
The batteries last a long time and the sound is better than I have been able to hear for a long time.
My job requires me to talk to elderly people, who like me will more likely be hard of hearing, the phone adapt ion enables you to turn up the volume so that the person on the other end of the phone can hear you plainly. You can also turn up the volume so you can hear plainly the person on the other end of the phone.
I have also used it to listen to the speaker in meetings, using the mike that the speaker wares with the transmitter so you can hear them through your hearing aids.
I also used this method to hear the tutor while on courses. This is very good as you do not miss out on what is said as you hear directly into your hearing aids, which is great.
I think this gadget is excellent and should be made available to all people who have a hearing problem so they can have the added help that I ;am receiving at the moment.
