Hearing aid direct input - FAQ
FAQ summary
I see that there is now a Phonak AS4 contoured shoe, will it give a better result?
Original FAQ
I have two Phonak Supero BTE Aids which I use with direct input shoes.
One of the shoes has broken and I wish to replace two new AS4 series shoes listed as DAS4MLXSF and DAS4MLXSP
- my current is listed as DAS4FM
Is there any advantage with the contoured shoe? I realise that if I change shoes then I must buy two not one, but if it has a better result so be it. Your advice would be helpful.
The new shoes have a catch to release them - details are on our website - this would mainly be an advantage if you have had problems with them coming loose? It is also possible to get a screw to secure an MLxS to these shoes.
The other advantage is the shaped look.
There is no effect on the actual sound heard.
I hope this helps you - Connevans customer services.
