Is there anything in particular to watch out for when connecting an fmGenie to a Cochlear Freedom processor?
The plug on the end of the lead needs to be fittted into the socket on the Freedom the correct way around. It is possible, without using a great deal of force, to push it in the wrong way. The fmGenie will then not be connected and it is likely that the socket will have been permanently damaged and will need replacing.
So when plugging in the lead you should take care that you do it the right way, as shown in the picture below:
